Mr Farmery is responsible for ACNielsen's business in Greater China covering Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
Mr Farmery joined ACNielsen in 1984 as a field auditor, moving into several field management roles including the role of National Field Manager. He moved into Client Service in 1987, undertaking a range of roles working with most of the major CPG manufacturers in NZ. In 1991 he assumed responsibility for the Retailer Services, Space Management and Media Publishing divisions, before becoming a Director of the company in 1994.
Mr Farmery was appointed Managing Director of ACNielsen (NZ) Ltd in early 1996. In 1997 he was appointed Global Account Director, Coca-Cola working to establish global services and a global servicing network. In 1999 he was promoted to the position of Managing Director, Retail Measurement Services, Asia Pacific. In 2003 Mr Farmery was appointed Managing Director of ACNielsen South Asia, incorporating India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. He took up his his current position on December 1, 2004.
Mr Farmery completed a BBS in Palmerston North New Zealand (1983).
